FAQ
DTA Fabrication is owner operated. So to help free up my time so I can be more efficient I have gathered some frequently asked questions and answered them.
Q: I Want to straight axle my vehicle, how much does it cost?
A: It depends on what you want done and the parts you want to use. Labor costs depend on that specify, so I can't really answer that question unless I know what you want. In most situations we come up with a budget or do some research on what you want so I can help you with your end goal. Typically a good budget for a turn key suspension build is going to be around 25k +/-. Consider cost of axles, gears, lockers, steering, drivelines, shocks, hardware, labor and so on.
Q: Why such long lead times?
A: DTA Fab is owner operated, which means I get to where all the hats from answering phone calls and questions, to drawing/ designing, building, shipping, fabricating and provide local support with custom builds. Some drawings gets outsourced for projects and that will also affect lead times. Lead times are just an estimate. They can change depending on my workload. All orders are handled in the most efficient way which is in the order it is received or by whats ready to ship.
Q; I placed an order when does it ship.
A: Your order ships when it's finished. All orders have a lead time. Most products are not prefabricated waiting to be shipped and require welding, cleaning or other related items that might be out of stock at the time of order. Onces your order is finished and ready to ship you will receive an email with shipping information.
Q: I haven't received my order and its past the estimated delivery date.
A: Once your order ships, its in the hands of the shipping supplier. At that point we are seeing the same information. Delivery dates are an estimated time and shouldn't be fully relied on due to unforeseen issues the shipping company may encounter.
Q: I received tracking for my order but my package isn't moving.
A: That usually means the shipping label was created, but the carrier hasn't scanned or received the package yet. It can also mean the package is sitting at a distribution facility without a new scan.
Q: I bought a bumper but I ordered the wrong one or cant install it, can I return it.
A: I am willing to help depending on the situation. In most cases if you made a mistake with your order for example. You bought a bumper for your rig and didn't realize you need one built for a body lift. I will help you with the rite bumper in exchange for the bumper you ordered. You will not receive a refund. You will cover all shipping costs.
Q: I bought a bumper but it doesn't fit, I want to return it.
A: All bumpers are built with fixtures to assure a quality fit. Fitment issues that have come up are frames being bent or frame modifications have been made, body bushings are missing, Body lifts have been installed, factory mounting holes are damaged. These do not qualify for a return!
Q: I bought a product but don't need it anymore and want to return it.
A: I do not accept returns! If the product is defective in anyway keeping you from using it contact me at dtafabrication@gmail.com with photos about the issue. If I made a mistake that's on me and I will handle it the best way possible.
